We designed the Shearwater 125 around our Select-a-Pod system, which gives you the option to utilize the included Versa storage pod, or upgrade to either our X-Drive Kit or our Impulse Drive Kit, which instantly gives you the ability to take your Paddle kayak and make it foot-powered. The X-Drive features a fin-style drive system letting you pedal in shallower, weedier waters, while the Impulse Drive allows you to take advantage of instant reverse with its propeller-style design. Both pedal pods can be swapped out without modification making the Shearwater the ultimate in choosing your own adventure.
