Cody Hudson is an artist and designer based in Chicago, and the creator of the third installment of our annual Artist Camo series. His Midwest Camo is inspired by native flora from Illinois and Wisconsin and traditional military camouflage color palette. Hudson’s signature shapes and fronds are presented in two colorways, representing lush, green June and September’s dry amber equinox. X-PAC V21RS is a high performance fabric developed by Dimension-Polyant Inc. based on racing sailcloths. A laminate sandwich of a DWR coating, 210D ripstop polyester for abrasion resistance, a nonporous film for water proofing, and a white polyester ripstop backing for durability and visibility create a material that is lighter, stronger, and more waterproof than traditional woven textiles.
