Description
The Smith 80 Series has the same construction as the 70 Series with everything made larger for big fishing tackle. 80’s feature an even larger low profile cap for greater stress distribution and mounting strength. Mirror polishing means they enhance the appearance of any boat. 100 Percent welded cap to tube joint will never break. Integrally cast gimbal bar will stand up to any punishment heavy tackle or downrigger mounts can dish out. White vinyl liners protects rods and are keyed with the gimbal bar to eliminate liner twist. On boats where the bottom of the rod holder is exposed the rounded cast bottom is shin-safe. When installed into a dry storage area, attach a 1/2 Inch hose barb and route a water hose away from the dry area and safely to the bilge.
